Children will embark on a journey into music under the guidance of our Yamaha-certified teachers, who will know how to inspire his or her imagination. Through playful and stimulating exercises, young students will delve into the world of music, playing with its fundamental characteristics, developing the ear through perception and movement.

Classes are group, weekly and generally last 45-55 minutes, but the duration is always adaptable according to the children’s level of attention and fatigue. We limit classes to a maximum of 8 children, plus chaperones, to ensure that each receives adequate attention.

The course is divided into several subjects, all covered in each lesson for comprehensive learning. Songs with words help develop language and perception of sounds and pitches. Listening-based subjects, on the other hand, are used to develop musical perception through movement. With the keyboard, children learn to play using all five fingers by the end of the year. Finally, rhythm games aim to develop a sense of rhythm.

Just as when children learn their mother tongue, it all starts with active listening: through specific games and activities, children will learn to identify the different timbral qualities, structures and forms of songs, as well as musical contrasts such as forte/piano and fast/slow, in a fun and engaging context.

Participation in the class requires the presence of a parent or adult accompanist for each child, which is essential to facilitate the child’s learning. The accompanist assists and participates in the lesson, conveying to the child the joy and beauty of experiencing and having fun with music.

Young musicians will be provided with all original Yamaha materials, which are essential for taking the course. Books, audio materials and other interactive tools will be used specifically to address the various subjects in the course.
